The following liturgy is contains the Essence of Practice. It is directly extracted from the Lotus Sutra, Heart Sutra, and Mahayana Mahaparinirvana Sutra to form a concise liturgy that encapsulates the heart of Enlightenment.

The One Vehicle is the Buddha-nature.

All living beings have the Buddha-nature;

the true nature of Tathagata is Eternity, Happiness, True Self, Purity.

 

I am Tathagata, Worthy of Offerings, Perfect in True Wisdom and Enlightenment, Perfect in Knowledge and Conduct, Well-Liberated, the Omniscient, the Almighty, Master Trainer, Teacher of Heavenly Gods and Humans, Buddha-Lord of the World.

 

The Buddhas, the Saviors of the Worlds, abide in great divine powers.

For the purpose of bringing delights to living beings, they manifest immeasurable divine powers.

Step 2: Recite a Mantra

Reciting a mantra is a personal choice. You can choose any mantra that you have been practicing for a long time, or that which connects with your heart personally:
